@ramarru
I am a hobby painter exploring artivism - the intersection of art and activism. Artivism has been a way to confront racial injustice that my words alone cannot express. The paintings focus on depicting the joy, beauty and value that Black and brown lives deserve. I hope my paintings illustrate my demand for love and equity.
These artivism pieces are a visual way for me to show up and encourage others to do the work: donating, learning, advocating and protesting for Black lives. Painting connects and brings solace that I hope the viewer can take with them as we work towards an anti-racist future. My ultimate goal in these paintings is to depict the possibilities of a racially just, transformed reality.
