As I walk in the city, my eyes are often focused down at the sidewalk, where things and bits of things are tossed or dropped or blown, then aged and altered in varying degrees by dirt, feet, vehicles, animals, weather and time. I love these art materials; my imagination is sparked by the messages they carry and the possibilities in their forms and textures.

Art for me is fundamental...it’s how I think, and even moving objects around feels like drawing to me. I make strong connections with found objects that have ‘voices’, or stories, and then create a dialogue between them in compositions that can include drawings, knitting, sculpting, etc., etc., etc.
